Once perceived as dull and boring, grey used to be synonymous with rainy day skies and gloomy industrial streets. But grey has turned over a new leaf in recent times. Now seen as a versatile shade to decorate with, it's becoming a popular replacement for white and neutral in the home. Neither black nor white, grey is an in-between shade which thrives when combined with other colours, mainly because it doesn't have much personality on its own. It happily takes a back seat, pushing stronger shades into the limelight. Equally, grey promotes a sense of calm when teamed with softer shades. In fact, it pairs well with pretty much any colour. Here's a little visual inspiration to show you what colours go with grey.
